I would say that Technorati was all about blogs that are already posted and I think it's easier to find because they are already been registered and tagged with certain key words. There are so many blogs that if you want to read only the most relevant and current. I myself try to experience on checking all the blogs that I'm interested to it and it looks very interesting.That's all I can say for now.

Tagging & Del.icio.us

It's very interesting to find about tagging and bookmarking.I remember using numerous time on bookmarking .Tagging is pretty intuitive and can take a lot of practice to fully understand.I like it a lot because it's easy and flexible,a better way to organize bookmarking and I discovered interesting things on the web too, it's so easy to remember. About del.icio.us, it was fun and easy to use,lots of bookmarks about technology, entertainments and useful information. Help me a lot to find things on bookmarks, I love so much for the good reason that I can do it anywhere, at home and at work.

My Space

It seems so fast, fun and easy. I feel that my space is good in so many ways, you have to be mature enough to understand with all the new technology, no matter what. I like it because I was able to find my long lost friend through going to her daughter's account, with this technology I have the chance to see friends and relatives away from me. It has become more popular among older internet users,it has the broadest appeal across age range.I will try it maybe later whenever I feel like doing it, I have to think about it before I will post my profile.

411 OSN

Online social networking is good for people who wanted to establish and maintain personal connections and finding friends with shared interest. I think this is safer place for young and adult, a way of communication, you don't need to go out and meet them , on line social networking on some students use this as way of talking about their education,sharing and exchanging information.Myspace.com,facebook.com, these are just some of the popular website but there are more out there, these websites is a place they can share their photos, videos and song tracks. VBPL should use OSN for teens in the library they are the young generations who are into it,now it's up to the parents if they allow them to have an account, their are many opportunities and pitfalls. I myself kind like it because I'm the person who has no time to go out in the public to socialize, OSN is a great technology.

VBPL WIKI

I had the most exciting experience after adding my pick to the VBPL RA wiki. It's not that bad, I really like it,I had the opportunity to take a look on someone's picks too. It's great technology to have this in our library system, I knew there's a lot of staff out there to share their ideas, they can remove, add and edit if they have any comments on what you blog.

WIKIS

Wiki was very popular now all over the world, it's an ideal tool of searching information, it is easy and fast.Wiki is a great format for anyone, you can add, remove and edit information.Wiki is a venue where peole can share ideas. There are a lot of libraries out there using wiki,each libraries have their own format. I't very insteresting, a lot of information to absorb and learn.This technology is really very appropriate in the library, we need to inform our patrons who are interested in using it. I love it.

IM & LIBRARIES

I agree that IM should be use in Libraries, it's a good way of communicating with our customers who want to acess information virtually.This is a hip technology that will allow us to communicate with our customers in real time. It is also an interactive style of electronic conversation. It give us privacy as well. There are more people use it now a days with all ages.
It's better than doing e-mail. I probably start using IM once I set my account.

Finding Feeds

I read so many times about finding feeds just to clarify myself what I really wanted to find out and learn on doing it. I read about Topix and it just made my day, because it shows the Virginia Beach Local forum, polls and news. I also tried the Technorati and it's not bad, I think I have some feeds that I can add to my google reader. I went also to different web sites to find some feeds, yesterday I had a lot of fun working with my co-workers searching some feeds and I enjoyed sharing with them. I'm positive that I can always use them for my personal life and as well at my workplace ( with our customers). I'm so pleased about bringing this technology to our library system.

RSS Feeds

There are tons of feeds and it's really overwhelming. It's really interesting and fun. I can definitely use this technology at work when needed. For my personal life I think this is a very good source to keep myself being knowledgeable and updated of what's new and what's happening around me on earth.

Learning 2.0

Learning 2.0 was very challenging, I like it a lot myself, I'm on the process of learning some new technologies. These new technologies will help me communicate with people at work or with customers . This is a great opportunity to have this in our Library system. I hope that it will continue to emerge and develop so that our customers can access to our program.

71/2 Habits of Highly Successful Lifelong Learners

There are 2 habits that I'm sure are the hardest for me.

1.View problems as challenges.

With all the new technologies that we encounter in our daily lives, I think I need to have a real good training on hand.

2.Create your own learning tool.

Like what I said I need help or training on hand.


The easiest thing is to have confidence in myself and be an effective learner.
With all the help around me, like my co-workers and supervisor, I'm very confident to do things and work with the computer.
